The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

The Forest Stewardship Council, or FSC, acts as a global protector for our forests. They're not in it for money; they're a non-profit organization with a big purpose. So, what's their mission, you wonder? FSC is all about responsible forest management, ensuring trees are treated well. It involves safeguarding our forests so they receive the care and attention they need. They aim for forests to be green, socially responsible, and economically sustainable, always watching out for our planet and its people.

What are the FSC Certifications? 

Imagine FSC certifications as badges of honor for paper products, and each badge tells a unique story. There are three primary FSC certifications that you'll often come across.

FSC 100%: This certification means that the product is made entirely from wood sourced in FSC-certified forests. It's a guarantee that the paper comes from responsibly managed woodlands, promoting sustainable harvesting practices. 

FSC Recycled: When you see this certification, it means that the paper is produced from 100% post-consumer materials, encouraging recycling and reducing waste. It's like giving paper a second life, which is fantastic for our environment.

FSC Mix: This certification means the product is made with a mixture of materials from FSC-certified forests, recycled materials, and/or FSC-controlled wood.
